The week long Nothing But Dot Net course at Wenatchee Washington is now over. The impact of this week will stay with me for a while.
First, this course is seriously intense. JP is not kidding, when he says the days may by longer than your typical training class. We typically went 14+ hours, with the friday class going to close to 1am, for a more than 16 hour coding marathon.
JP was not kidding when he said it will take months to digest all of the material that he presented. I knew that I was weak on OO programming and TDD, but the class made it so clear how this impacts your ability to use the .net framework and design clean testable solutions.
It truly was amazing to see JP build out clean interfaces to layers of the system, and buld up our own logging and IOC functionality, and then to be able to switch from our own implementation, to another one such as Log4net.
JP gives practical advise for learning the techniques that he shows and building the solid core of knowledge that will help you be able to keep on this exciting technology ride.
Just Hold on tight!
