Yoga can help everyone.

If you have a body and want to utilize its ultimate potential, then you need yoga.
It’s a misconception to think yoga is only about stress release and to gain flexibility.
That’s just a small part of it.
Yoga is to make your mind sharp and be unaffected by emotions under any circumstance. To be unaffected by your emotions is getting to the root cause of all of our problems, no matter what, Yoga helps one to stop, think, breathe and act.

So maybe you wont get good at the outer posture,
But it’s the stilling and the strengthening of the mind that really matters.
An intelligent yogi is one who lives for the internal awakening rather then simply just getting rid of back pain.

Through the practice of asanas we uncover the internal challenges that cause weight gain, pain or
Emotional distress and help create wholeness, which creates a permanent change rather then a quick fix.

Athletes know this; look at this clip that is the top story on www.nbcsports.com
It shows James Onnikian, our amazing hot yoga teacher,
Training World Champion UFC fighter Matt Serra to
Give him that yogic mind it takes to help him win his next fight.

Yoga and fighting, yes, of course it makes sense.
The Ancient Hindu epic the Bhagavad-Gita is about the warrior-prince Arjuna who needs to go to war and he is in conflict about what the right thing to do is, and he discovered that his charioteer is none other then the Lord Krishna himself and Lord Krishna counsels Arjuna on right action, and doing the duty that must be done for the Lord and not for material gain.
Lord Krishna led Arjuna to the understanding of the spiritual nature of man and the world.

If you are interested in reading this amazing story of consciousness and right action,
There is a simple and easy to read version of the Gita by the author Barbara Stoller Miller.

I am amazed every day how yoga helps improve my life.
Today for Mothers Day my mother & I rode our horses at Caumsett Park.
I have been riding all of my life and was very competitive as a child and a teenager.
I have not ridden in months, before that almost a decade, and I get on and jump all of the jumps and
ride better now then ever before. I have more focus, more strength and so much greater balance.
At one point my horse starting bucking and
I didn’t react, I was calm and very in control.
You never know when yoga can save your life.

I simply love yoga and its benefits beyond the mat.

so thank you for being a part of such a magical experience at the Oasis,
and as we create peace in our worlds we help create peace in the bigger world...we hope...

Om shanti...
Be peace....
and a big Happy 68th birthday On Monday May 14th to My Guru Sri Dharma Mittra! omomomomom Ramramram!
May we all look as amazing as he does as we grow into being who we truly are...

Love & Light,
Mary Grace

About Me

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Jim Bonnie and I have been writing software for over 20 years. After building financial data systems for Reuters for nearly 18 years I have started doing contract work and am excited about technology and currently focus on Microsoft solutions. DotNetNuke has helped provide a good introduction to ASP.NET web application development, and I am now starting to branch out into other areas. Data Access techniques and SubSonic is something that I am looking into now. This has helped me get an invitation to speak at Las Vegas at DNN Open Force 07. it was a great time. And I am looking forward to OpenForce08, where I wil be presenting on TDD for DNN.

Reading the codebetter blogs and attending a nothing but .net training class with JP Boodhoo helped spark my interest in ALT.NET. I attended the first conference in Austin Texas, and it was amazing to see Scott Guthrie introduce the ASP.NET MVC framework.
